Graphic Designers Come to WET’s Defense
From time to time there were unauthorized appropriations of WET’s intellectual property egregious enough to warrant action. In 1988, for example, Bloomingdale’s department store published a mail-order swimsuit catalog obviously based on a WET cover—and it was not a parody. A number of high-profile graphic designers came to WET’s defense with gracious letters of support.
